"After reading the stories, I can say that Umesh Shukla is a modern-day Valmiki. What he is doing for the sake of our children is so very commendable!"- Hinduism.about.com
Anant is the story of a young boy who lives with his grandmother in a village called Gokul, the same village where Lord Krishna is growing up.
Anant looks for ways to make his grandmother’s life comfortable. Krishna meanwhile, questions the tradition of praying to Indra, the rain God. Indra takes this questioning as an insult to his power, and sends in army of clouds to flood Gokul. The floods in Gokul culminate in an encounter between Krishna and Anant, where Krishna demonstrates the Indian belief in life actions and their consequences - a simple theory of cause and effect.
